Horrible sloppy version, but using just Epiphone valve jr with no effects

This is my modded Valve JR with added preamp stage and octal tube. Epiphone DOT straight into the JR.

This is my modded JR with both gains on 7. Schecter with Duncan 59 bridge pickup straight in.

Yet another clip of my modded JR. I think a might have left the reverb plug-in turn on for this one, hard to tell. Anyway its an Ephiphone DOT neck pickup and the JR is set a little dirty.

I built a simple DI box to allow me to record my tube amps while my wife is sleeping. When the extension speaker is unpluged two 20 watt non-inductive resistors are switched in to act as a load. The line out is my own variation of the Herzog but with better impedance matching. I made sure that no effects or EQ are used in this recording to allow the true sound to be heard.

kyoungsteadt was wondering what my DI sounded like with a distorted tone. This was recorded with the JR pretty much dimed and the guitar straight in. No speaker attached. The track had reverb and delay plug-ins active when mixed down. I rolled the volume on the guitar off then back on to see how it cleaned up. Excuse the dark less than inspired playing.

A first! By me! This is a short clip of some late night clean pickin' on my 2k Mexican Strat plugged into my Calico Beast vJr, and using the post-OT line out to feed the input of a Lexicon MPX G2 (factory patch 11 - rotary), which feeds my twin Funk 47 VJr's.

Recording is done by way of a Shure SM57 (on the Beast) straight to a Behringer UB-802 mixer, and Rhode NT-5 stereo pair (on the Funk 47's) via twin ART Tube PAC's into the Behringer. Captured digitally in 16bit/44kHz by Korg MR-1, and converted to hi-res MP3 by Cakewalk Pyro.

Here she is... Tubes used, 2 x JJ ECC83s, JJ ECC82, JJ KT77. Guitars used, Godin LG Signature and a Gibson Les Paul Studio. Speakers, Marshall 1936 with Greenbacks using the 8 ohm tap.

A blue number in the vein of Eric Clapton/Bluesbreakers. Guitar is stock Telecaster set to middle position, straight into modded Blackheart BH5H head, 8 ohms out to a custom 1x12 cabinet with a Weber Signature series 12" speaker.

Marshallized V2 EVJ. R8 = 1.5K, R9 = 1K. JJ EL84
Tweed tone at 1 o'clock, VVR at noon. Conjunctive filter OFF.
Clips are played with a strat with lollar blonde pickups, tone at 10, volume at 9.
Weber Ceramic Blue Dog in open-back cab --> SM-57 --> dbx preamp --> Toneport --> Gearbox (just spring reverb added) --> garageband. All settings the same unless otherwise noted.
